Some Of The Paradoxes In Life
65
In this life, we have bigger houses for everything we want and yet we have smaller families. Many people have multiple degrees, but few of them have common sense. We have more experts in each field, but more problems to fix. More
medicine is produced in quantities, but less wellness is being experienced. We’ve multiplied our possessions over and over again,
but reduced our
values to something lower than the carpet under our feet.
We’ve learned how to make a living due to a job,but we haven't learned how to live a
life.There are taller buildings in the cities, but our shorter tempers get the better of us;
Wider
freeways for movement, but narrower viewpoints and opinions.
Some people have been all the way
to the moon and back, but yet most of us have trouble crossing the street to meet
our neighbors. We’ve conquered outer space but not inner
space.
We’ve split the atom thanks to Ernest Rutherford ,but not our prejudice due to narrow mindedness. We’ve learned to rush the things we do, but not to wait for the things we need. We have higher incomes, but lower morals in achieving the income. Fancier houses are built each day, but broken homes still exist.
Doesn't this make you think a little more about how you're living your life?

Very nice hub! I had to learn the hard way about the true value of possessions, I'm glad to see that you caught on earlier than I did! We all have to rethink what's important in life; do we really need all of the toys that are put in front of us!
Great juxtaposition of opposites, CP. Funny how often results are the opposite of our intention. I guess that means we need to look more closely at our intentions? Thank you
Very nice Hub here. Reminds me a bit of the great George Carlin.
Beautiful & inspirational; Thank You. Especially loved the line, "We’ve learned how to make a living due to a job,but we haven't learned how to live a life."
"but yet most of us have trouble crossing the street to meet our neighbors." Why is this its so absurd.
love the hub!!
It is a perplexing dilemma which needs to be explored and resolved...
Well stated that the quality attribute and nature of humanity is not as sophisticated as its technical development...
Thanks for sharing your well developed observation and insight...
